Hey, Guys. It's that time of your again; Glorious Christmas Nights. Everyone is stressed and working hard to put it all together. We have a rigorous practice schedule, but we make it work. Well...that is...most of us make it work.
You see, there's this guy in my dance group. He has only attended one of the five practices held so far for our group. Then, to make things worse, he passes it off as no big deal, even saying to someone that he has "better things to do." My problem is that he committed to doing the show, which means going to practices.
His excuse is that he has a lead in the show at his school. This excuse would totally be acceptable if he hadn't auditioned for GCN first. When he auditioned, he made a commitment to do all that is involved with his scenes, including attending rehearsals. He may end up being cut from the scene.
So, you see, we can all learn a lesson from this. Prioritizing is key. If you become involved in GCN, don't do something else that takes up a large amount of time. If the show is really important, you'll make sacrifices. Like, I wanted to audition for my school's play, but practices interfered. Instead, I'll be auditioning for the winter musical. Life is about picking what is most important to you and sacrificing less important things. Think about it.
